KaamConnect ("we", "us", "our") operates the KaamConnect mobile application (the "App"), connecting job seekers and employers across the United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

• Mobile phone number, used to sign in via one-time password (OTP)
• Account role (worker or employer)

1.2 Worker Profile Information

If you use KaamConnect as a job seeker, we collect information you provide to build your profile, including:

• Skills and job type(s)
• Years of experience
• Languages spoken
• Nationality
• Availability status and willingness to relocate
• Reference details (name, phone number, relationship), if provided

1.3 Employer & Job Posting Information

If you use KaamConnect to post jobs, we collect:

• Company name and location
• Contact person name and phone number
• Job details: job type, salary range, shift type, employment type, working hours, job duration, required documents, and whether accommodation, food, or visa sponsorship is provided

1.4 Identity & Verification Documents

To help verify worker eligibility, you may upload documents such as a passport, Emirates ID, visa, employment reference letter, or skill certificate. These documents are:

• Stored securely in encrypted cloud storage
• Processed using an automated document-verification service (Google Cloud Document AI) to confirm document type and check expiry — this is an automated check, not manual review of document contents by KaamConnect staff, except where necessary to resolve a dispute or verification issue
• Accessible only to you and, where relevant, to employers you apply to, via secure, time-limited links

1.5 Messages

If you message another user through the App regarding a job, we store the content of that message to deliver it and maintain your conversation history.

1.6 Location Information

When posting or searching for jobs, you may enter or search for a location within the UAE. We do not access your device's precise GPS location without separate, explicit permission.

1.7 Push Notification Data

We collect a device push token to send you notifications about job matches, application updates, and new messages. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To match workers with relevant job postings
• To let employers review applications and worker profiles
• To verify submitted identity and eligibility documents
• To send OTP codes for secure sign-in
• To send push notifications about jobs, applications, and messages
• To respond to support requests
• To maintain the security and integrity of the App

3. Service Providers

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. We use the following service providers, who process data solely on our behalf and under our instructions:

Your profile information (excluding your raw phone number, unless you choose to share it) is visible to employers when you apply to their job, and your job posting is visible to workers browsing the App, consistent with the purpose of a job-matching platform.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted data storage, access-limited document links, and secure authentication via OTP. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Access and review the personal information on your profile
• Correct inaccurate profile information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw a job application at any time
• Disable push notifications via device settings

7. Children's Privacy

KaamConnect is intended for users who meet the minimum legal working age under UAE law. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and any account found to belong to a minor will be removed.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
